I Think I Am Foundation's Programs
 

 

READY, SET, GO

 

This program is geared towards preparing students elementary through college and providing resources for tests, i.e., CRCT, the high school graduation test, SAT, ACT, and GRE.  Emphasis is placed on time management, reading literacy, comprehension, writing and math.  The Program will also include grade specific College Prep/Technical Prep planning.

LEARNING, EXPANDING, AND PRODUCING (LEAP)

 

Teaching youth and families how to develop and maintain positive belief patterns and strategies to improve Self Image, Self Worth, and Self Actualization will be the focus.  Erikson's 8 stages of psychosocial development, Life Coaching Professionals, Reality Therapists, Psychologist, etc., will be utilized.  Emphasis is placed on family involvement to implement goal setting and nurture creative/talent interests.  Participants will travel to different parts of the state, country and world to expand their view on the unlimited possibilities this world offers to help manifest their goals.  Interview skills, life skills, family dynamics, music, health and wellness, physical/mental discipline components and the arts will be implemented as well.

MONEY COUNT$

 

This is a financial literacy program designed to improve financial literacy in youth and families.  Learning activities include: money mangement, saving, investing, home ownership, credit building and/or repair.  The youth will develop a capitalist venture that they will create.  Youth and families will also learn to manage venture and become stakeholders while developing skills in responsibility and accountability.  The foundation will also provide scholarship assistance to youth and parents for higher education.

PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS SEMINARS & WORKSHOPS

 

Seminars to develop youth and adults in areas of leadership, management entrepreneurial skills, and teamwork. Participants will learn about their own personality traits, how to effectively deal with other personality types and learning styles and will be placed in scenarios that involve how to solve issues and increase efficiency with the information and resources provided.  Starting and managing your own business effectively will be addressed also.

EMPOWERMENT RETREATS

 

Provide retreats for differing family dynamics (mother/daughter(s), father/son(s), father/daughter(s), mother/son(s), mom/dad/kids, caregivers/kids, etc.), as a resource for open discussion and support groups for issues impacting the youth and families.  Retreats will meld life skills, parenting skills, building positive character traits, and other interactive activities for fun, fellowship and relaxation.

CELEBRITY SPORTS MOMS' IMPACT TOUR

 

Moms of professional athletes, singers, dancers, actor/actresses, etc. will visit rescue missions, domestic violence shelters, drug and alcohol abuse centers, among other community services facilities.  The goal is to encourage those who are currently challenged by being in these environments. The sport's moms will share their own personal stories of abuse and various obstacles they had to overcome and triumphs as well.
